The Latin American Conference of Kreston Global took place from June 6-8, 2024, in the vibrant city of Santiago de Chile, bringing together over 60 key participants from the fields of tax, accounting and finance from the Latin American firms in the Kreston network.

The inaugural event began with an elegant welcome dinner, fostering networking and professional relationships among the members of the different Kreston firms from Latin American countries.

Throughout the conference days, participants engaged in a series of strategic sessions and panel discussions designed to address current challenges and opportunities in the sector and the network.

The agenda for the sessions was as follows:

Day 1:

Welcome dinner where Francisco Bracamonte and Rich Howard delivered a welcoming message to all attendees.

Day 2

    • LatAm Updates by Francisco Bracamonte from Kreston BSG.
    • Overview of Firms in Chile: Kreston ATC by Hans Caro and Kreston MCA by Juan Marin.
    • Doing Business in Chile – Financial Outlook by Valtin Consulting.
    • Update on the USA and Spain connection to Latin America by Verónica Quintana from CBIZ and Arturo Diaz from Kreston Iberaudit.
    • Global Strategy Update by Liza Robbins from Kreston Global.
    • Regional Committee Strategic Outlook by Daniela Portal from Kreston Peru, Francisco Bracamonte from Kreston BSG, Reynaldo Balladares from Kreston Nicaragua, and Ricardo Gameroff from Kreston BA.
    • Joint training sessions by Tatiana Andrade from Kreston KBW and Estefanía Cuahutle from Kreston BSG.
    • Regional marketing update by Estefanía Cuahutle from Kreston BSG.
    • Conflict checks and quality control review outcome by Jenny Reed from Kreston Global.

At the end of the sessions on the first day, the group enjoyed a visit to Sky Costanera, an observation deck on the 61st floor of the tallest building in South America, offering stunning panoramic views of Santiago and the Andes Mountains.

The day concluded with a dinner at Liguria restaurant, renowned for its cozy atmosphere and a menu focused on traditional Chilean cuisine with a contemporary twist. It is one of the oldest and most iconic restaurants in Santiago.

Day 3

  • Global Audit Group panel, featuring Eduardo Medina from Kreston ATC, Héctor Rivas from Kreston El Salvador, Jaime Pérez from Kreston FLS, Juan Espinosa from Kreston BSG, Ludving Hernández from Kreston Guatemala, and Ricardo Gameroff from Kreston BA.
  • Global Tax Group panel, featuring Juan Carlos Molina from Kreston Costa Rica, Luis Avila from Kreston BSG, Rafael Vergara from Kreston Bolivia, and Reynaldo Balladares from Kreston Nicaragua.
  • Introduction of the new firm Kreston BA in Argentina by Ricardo Gameroff.
  • Identifying and managing international clients’ referrals by Francisco Bracamonte from Kreston BSG and Ricardo Gameroff from Kreston BA.

The conference concluded with an incredible tour that included visits to iconic Chilean locations such as La Moneda Palace, the Historic Center, and Bicentennial Park.

This event not only provided a platform for knowledge exchange among prominent professionals but also strengthened collaboration among Kreston Global member firms in the Latin American region. The event underscored the importance of international cooperation and adaptability to changes in the globalized environment, reaffirming Kreston Global's commitment to excellence and innovation in the accounting field worldwide.
